Google Earth Images

These are just a few of my favorite Google Earth images. It pisses me of when you find pictures of cool stuff on maps and then can't locate them, so I'll paste the co-ordinates to them so you can check them out yourself. Get Google Earth here. Click on the image to enlarge...

Yeah, weird shit in China. Lots of conjecture about these things... looks like landing strips...  40°29'9.60"N  93°28'55.65"E

This looks rather unremarkable, but I was impressed. It's the state of Iowa and the best I can tell, the entire state is covered with nothing but farmland and roads. 89% of the state is indeed farmland and it is criss-crossed by 235,460 lane miles of road, 14th  most miles in the nation.  41°52'45.85"N  93°26'27.38"W (Image is from 100 miles up.)

These are irrigation farms. You can find them many places. These are on the south eastern edge of the Nile Delta.  30°25'58.16"N  31°53'56.28"E

More weird shit in China... I don't have a clue.  40°27'8.92"N  93°45'10.77"E

This is known as the Bone-yard, located in Tucson, Arizona. It's where planes go to die...  32° 9'53.34"N 110°50'18.03"W

OK then! Hope you liked all that. Warning, Google Earth can be addictive!
